Claudia Madrazo

President and Founder of La Vaca Independiente

As an educator Claudia has developed learning models that integrate the Arts to energize and catalyze personal and social transformation processes.

She founded la vaca independiente in 1992, as an organization committed to develop and implement innovative learning programs for public schools in Mexico. The work of la vaca independiente evolved from pedagogical programs to a Model for Collective Learning, expanding the vision and methods applied in the education domain to methods to develop holistic human capacities for the preservation and evolution of natural and cultural heritage.

Today Claudia and la vaca independiente work in contexts as diverse as prisons, indigenous communities, children with disabilities, hospitals, corporate institutions and NGOs.

WE UNDERSTAND ART AS A DISCIPLINE AND A JOURNEY TO DEVELOP AND CULTIVATE CONSCIOUSNESS, IN ETHIC AND AESTHETIC FORMS.
